Game 21: Bulls 107, Bucks 100

28 Jan 2012

Three Stars (leaderboard)
1. Derrick Rose: 34 points (TS%), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block
2. Joakim Noah: 15 points (TS%), 16 rebounds (8 off.), 4 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks
3. Carlos Boozer: 20 points (TS%), 13 rebounds (5 off.), 2 blocks

Derrick Rose can get into the lane and finish in traffic against just about any defense in the NBA, but he had to have been licking his chops against a Bucks team playing without Andrew Bogut.

Drew Gooden, Luc Mbah a Moute, Larry Sanders, Ersan Ilyasova: None of these guys is going to stop D-Rose at the rim, and some won’t even try.

That said, the Bucks hung in there, befitting their pedigree as a Scott Skiles team. They got Good Brandon Jennings, especially early, but Rose and a very active Joakim Noah were too much.

Noah was fantastic, actually, posting his best game score of the season. Since disappearing in the MLK Day blowout in Memphis, he’s had five good games in a row, each of them ranking among his top eight game scores this season. He’s been a big reason the Bulls have been able to weather the absence of Luol Deng. Can he keep it up Sunday in Miami?

Box Score

Record: 17-4, first in the Eastern Conference
Next: Sunday 1/29 at Miami, 2:30 CT
