Tonight: Pistons @ Bulls

9 Jan 2012

United Center, Chicago, 7:00 CT, CSN

1. It’s another run-it-back rematch against a team the Bulls played not long ago. Saturday’s repeat engagement with Atlanta went poorly, but the opponent this time is one of the worst teams in the league. After winning easily in Detroit last week, is there any way the Bulls struggle this time at home?

2. Can the Pistons at least put up more of a fight this time? The details of their ineptitude, as compiled by Sam Smith, are rather gruesome:

They are one of four teams losing by an average of double figures and are coming off losing three straight by at least 16 points (21 average), something no Pistons team has done since Dick Vitale was coach in 1980 (whose idea was that?). They were having mutinies last season and not losing as badly.
