For all the excitement over Derrick Rose’s increasing prowess behind the arc — after shooting .242 on 3-pointers his first two seasons, his percentage rose to .332 last year — much of the statistical improvement came from the first few months of the season:

He shot .394 (56 of 142) in the first 33 games last season.

He has shot .286 (102 of 357) in the 66 games since then, including the playoffs.
