Bulls 93, Pacers 85

20 Dec 2011

Three Stars
1. Joakim Noah: 8 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 assists
2. Rip Hamilton: 13 points (.542 TS%), 4 rebounds, 6 assists
3. Derrick Rose: 12 points (.581 TS%), 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, 1 block

Hard to find much to complain about in a game the Bulls led start to finish, casually keeping their little brothers from next door at arm’s length throughout.

The new starting five, adding in Rip Hamilton for the first time at shooting guard, worked together nearly seamlessly, each playing their roles generally as prescribed. Save for Carlos Boozer’s typically porous defense — sure, he scored 24 points, but so did his Pacers counterpart Tyler Hansbrough — any of the headliners could have been tonight’s No. 1 star.

Enough of these warmups against the J.V. squad. Bring on Christmas Day and the (less?) mighty Lakers.
